As a major area of Rotary service, Population & Development has identity as a distinct area of Rotary focus and interest
 

1. RFPD has organizational capability with Country Chairman in more than 60 countries, to match project needs with interested clubs and districts
    
2. Members in RFPD create Rotarian awareness on the Population & Development issue -- one of the goals of Rotary
    
3. WCS Projects addressing population and development need publicity to attract support from interested clubs
    
4. Projects that need support are presented in the Available WCS Projects section of this web site and in RFPD's quarterly  Newsletter, Fragile Earth
    
5. RFPD, a tax-exempt entity in many countries (including USA, Germany & others), allows supportive Rotarians to make deductible contributions to this area of Rotary service
    
6. Attracts grant money from outside foundations
    
7. Rotarian members of RFPD initiate and support projects related to Population & Development
