Why The Rotarian Initiative for
Population & Development (RIFPD) exists

As a major area of Rotary service, Population & Development has identity as a distinct area of Rotary focus and interest

  1.  RIFPD has organizational capability with Country Chairman in more than 60 countries, to match project needs with interested clubs and districts

  2. Members in RIFPD create Rotarian awareness on the Population & Development issue -- one of the goals of Rotary

  3. WCS Projects addressing population and development need publicity to attract support from interested clubs

  4. Projects that need support are presented in the Available WCS Projects section of this web site and in RIFPD's quarterly  Newsletter, Fragile Earth

  5. RIFPD, a tax-exempt entity in many countries (including USA, Germany & others), allows supportive Rotarians to make deductible contributions to this area of Rotary service

  6. Attracts grant money from outside foundations

  7. Rotarian members of RIFPD initiate and support projects related to Population & Development

Membership Growth in RIFPD is vital to enhance these objectives

If you support the goals of Rotary published in the Statement on Population Growth and Development , but have not yet joined the RIFPD, please click on Membership, Join & Update, and register your Membership via e-mail.

in your Club and District....

.... a major new area for Rotary Humanitarian service - yet relatively few Rotarians are familiar with Rotary's activities in this area

Why not introduce your Club and District to this new area of service?

Information from this web site can be used for your presentation

or:

A PowerPoint slide show is available for use by Rotarians. The slide show makes an excellent 20 to 25 minute program for your regular Club meeting.  It can be used in one of three ways:

  1. Use an LCD projector to present this show on a screen in a darkened meeting room
  2. Convert the PowerPoint slide show to 35 mm slides, through any high-end photography store
  3. Convert the slide show to Overhead Transparencies
  4. Use the slide show version for use without projection equipment

You can purchase and install Microsoft PowerPoint on your computer to view and present these slides.

To receive your copy of the CD ROM, please contact the by contacting RIFPD at RIFPD Officers
