RFPD Breakout Sessions

“Successful Co-funding of World Community Service Projects with Funds from other Sources”

This 90-minute workshop encourages clubs and districts to apply for grants from other sources, including governments and foundations, which support Rotary projects. Club contributions and Matching Grants serve as seed money. Examples/concepts will be explained, and application forms will be on-hand. Larger co-funded projects enhance the image of Rotary.

"How to Make a World Community Service Project Sustainable"

Rotarians are challenged to implement sustainable projects. Unsustainable projects can disappoint beneficiaries and harm Rotary's goodwill. It will be presented how sustainability has to be the guideline when planning, conceiving, implementing and monitoring projects. Examples of sustainable projects and risks of the implementation of expensive, unsustainable projects will be demonstrated.
