The Rotarian Action Group for Population Growth & Sustainable Development (RFPD) is the largest RAG (Rotarian Action Group) and is a part of Rotary International's Global Networking Groups. RFPD has intensive global visibility, with over 95 Rotarians who volunteer as RFPD's Area Coordinators, Country Chairs and Zone Coordinators. Over 75 countries are represented by RFPD, with regional offices in USA, Latin America, Europe, North Africa, SubSahara Africa and India.
RFPD's main focus is to implement successful population-based Matching Grant projects through The Rotary Foundation. We encourage you to look for a sponsoring club/district to fund a population project. Projects include reproductive health, child spacing, literacy and responsible parenthood, improvement of maternal and infant health, vocational training and micro-credit for women. We offer Rotarians project requests for Matching Grants with reliable contact to the host country. RFPD leaders are sensitive to the needs of their community and produce projects that are respectful of both cultural and religious beliefs.
