World Community Service (WCS), is the concept of Rotarians at work around the
world providing humanitarian service to those in need. Since most human suffering is, in one way or another, related to overpopulation, a significant part of our WCS
work should rightfully address the population issue. Rotary International, through the Rotary Foundation (TRF), provides support for these important projects through
Matching Grants and 3H Grants. I - Matching Grants

Matching Grants support international Rotary
partnerships in international service. Rotarians in at least two different countries (a Sponsor Country and a Project Country) work together to plan, implement, and
complete a project. Rotary Clubs and/or Districts may apply for Matching Grants. By meeting the Rotary Foundation (TRF) criteria, sponsors double their funding
by qualifying with Matching Grants from TRF. Objectives
- To promote international service through interaction of Clubs/Districts
- To provide funding for smaller, one-time-only humanitarian projects
- To improve the quality of life for the less fortunate
Matching Grant Applications for US $25,000 or less are accepted by TRF throughout the year. Requests for grants of US $25,001 to US $50,000 are considered
competitively twice a year. Application Forms

(address below). II - Health Hunger and Humanity (3 H) Grants

Provids funds for large-scale, multi-year international service projects. TRF provides major grants for international service projects that improve health,
alleviate hunger, and enhance human and social development as a means of advancing international understanding, goodwill and peace. Emphasis is on increased competence or
capacity that leads to self-reliance. Criteria
- Includes Rotarians in benefiting country and at least one other country
- Initiated, controlled and implemented by Rotarians
- Significant number of Rotarians personally and actively involved - hands-on implementation
- Provide significant long-term benefits of self-help nature to a large number of people
- Self-sustaining after 2-3 year period
- Visible Rotary identification for public awareness of Rotary's involvement
Grant Amount 3-H Grant
